Certificate in Ukrainian Language (Category 2) - ASCER1207

The Ukrainian Language Certificate recognizes a significant level of achievement in language study, equivalent to an intermediate-level linguistic and cultural proficiency in Ukrainian, enabling students to engage effectively in cross-cultural understanding and meaningful collaboration in diverse academic and work environments in Ukraine as well as in Ukrainian-speaking communities worldwide. This Certificate will be of interest to students across the disciplines, including European Affairs, History, International Relations, Political Science, and Rotman Commerce.

This is an open enrolment Certificate. A student who has completed 4.0 credits may enrol in the Certificate. This Certificate is not open to students enrolled in a Specialist, Major, or Minor in Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures.

Total: 2.0 credits, with at least 1.0 credit at the 200+ level

2.0 credits from: SLA108Y1; SLA208Y1; SLA308H1

  • Courses taken in Summer Abroad programs or at UTM or UTSC will need to be pre-approved.
  • No more than 1.0 transfer credit will be eligible for consideration in the Certificate.
  • Courses that have been taken as Credit/No Credit cannot be used to fulfill Certificate requirements.
