A full academic year intensive research project for those seeking their first hands-on research experience. Students work in small groups (3-5 students) to conduct a project under the direction of a faculty member. Students also learn foundational research skills and present their work during 2-hour lectures. Three-hour practical sessions are dedicated to group work and project coordination. Students are expected to devote an additional 5-hours per week to research activities. Each project culminates in a journal-style report and oral presentation.
Students must complete an application form before the start of the academic year. The application form is available on the Department’s website at https://psych.utoronto.ca/current-program-students/undergraduate-courses, and must be submitted no later than August 1st. Students will be matched with Faculty Supervisors early in the term. Enrolment is restricted to students in the Psychology Major program. Not eligible for CR/NCR option.
Note: Students are encouraged to complete both PSY202H1 and PSY203H1 (or their listed exclusions), but only one is required as a corequisite.
