This course explores several contemporary topics in biomedical toxicology with an emphasis on how chemicals adversely affect human health. Lectures cover principles of toxicology and the mechanisms of toxicity of major groups of chemical toxicants and biological toxins, including heavy metals, industrial pollutants, biological toxins and nanomaterials.
