This course offers a focused discussion of several aspects of the history of medicine. Various themes are examined in depth year to year so as to familiarize students with different topics and methodological approaches.
HPS318H1 and/or HPS319H1, or at least 1.0 credit of HPS courses or History courses with a focus on the history of science at the 300-level or higher. Students who do not meet the prerequisites are encouraged to contact the instructor.
This course assumes some background in the history of medicine and/or history of science, and having engaged in historical research projects.
