HMB325H1: Biostatistics and Data Science for Human Biology

This is an intermediate applied course in statistics and data science for students in life science disciplines. Students will advance their understanding of statistical and data science methods used in life science research. Topics include experiment design, sample size calculations, regression, classification, and other parametric and non-parametric methods. Scientific literature will be used throughout the course to illustrate concepts. Students will advance their coding abilities in R, including working with databases. This course assumes that students are already familiar with using R programming, or can self-study the required prerequisite knowledge.
