This course is an introduction to key approaches and concepts in political, cultural, and economic geography. Our focus will be on pressing contemporary phenomena with deep historical roots, including border initiatives, colonialism and development, globalization and global health, migration, and diplomacy and militarization. Without aiming for a comprehensive approach, examples will be diverse and drawn from around the planet.
