Hours 24L/12T Introduction to quantum computing. Topics include the fundamental principles of quantum computing and information, including qubits, superpositions, entanglement, the quantum circuit model, and landmark quantum algorithms like Grover’s search, Shor’s factoring algorithm, Quantum Fourier transform, and Phase Estimation. Additional topics include quantum error correction, quantum cryptography, Hamiltonian simulation and quantum complexity theory.
