We examine the roots of Engaged Buddhism in countries such as Vietnam, China & Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and India, and its transformation into a global movement. Themes include Buddhist environmental activism, and Buddhist protest movements, along with research on the application of Buddhist teachings in healthcare, education, business, and the criminal justice system.
